Michael is Manager of the Adjustment Bureau. Mr. Joncich’s experience includes seven years working as the chief administrator for a bankruptcy trustee and United States District Court receiver. He was part owner for ten years in a small manufacturing business. A bachelor’s degree in journalism and several years writing for newspapers and magazines make him an effective communicator. He joined CMA as an adjuster to marshal assets and business records for companies liquidated by the Adjustment Bureau through general assignments. A year later he moved to the position of Estates Manager. He has served as secretary to creditors’ committees for out-of-court workouts and bankruptcy proceedings; he supervises administration of general assignments and bankruptcy cases for which CMA functions as a disbursing agent or liquidating trustee. |

Charles serves as a manager for business development for the Adjustment Bureau from offices in Orange County, California. He has been employed with Credit Management Association for more than 15 years. As an Estates Manager, Mr. Klaus supervised the administration and liquidation of over 50 public and private companies in all types of industries under General Assignments for the benefit of creditors. Mr. Klaus is a certified auctioneer and has extensive experience in the marketing and public auction of all types of real and personal property. Prior to his employment with CMA, Mr. Klaus worked in the Special Asset Department of several major California banks and was responsible for a commercial loan portfolio, which exceeded $20 million. His duties included collection and restructure of problem loans, often resulting in liquidation of the bank's collateral. In addition, Mr. Klaus worked with bank counsel in civil and bankruptcy proceedings. |

Jim is the Estates Manager and Business Development Manager for the Adjustment Bureau at CMA's Northern California Division office in San Leandro. He is responsible for administering all out-of-court workout programs and managing the liquidation of corporate assets through general assignments for the benefit of creditors. He serves as a communications liaison between attorneys, consultants, and banks and oversees the disbursement of funds to creditors. He is also developing CMA's Asset Verification Services along with the Asset Liquidation Division (ALD) as a major resource in the Bay Area. Mr. Palmer joined CMA after spending more that 30 years in the Insurance Industry holding various positions in Claims, Underwriting, Sales and Management. Mr. Palmer received his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology from Northeastern University in Boston MA. |

CMA's Business Development Manager in the Carolina's Office Thomas J. Walker extends our services to the Eastern US. Mr. Walker's career experience as a Director of Sales and Director of Credit gives him a unique viewpoint when addressing troubled businesses. Mr. Walker has served as a Trustee in an Alabama bankruptcy and a Receiver in a North Carolina case. Previous to working with CMA, Mr. Walker directed transition teams, created plans to acquire companies, and sold companies. CMA has been operating in the Carolina's since 2003, and Mr. Walker has been the driving force in the market educating lenders, debtors, attorneys and business owners on alternatives to bankruptcy. |

As an active Estates Manager beginning in 1960s, he administered hundreds of cases in CMA's highly regarded Adjustment Bureau, which he also directed for 12 years. Mr. Kaufman is a co-founder, past president and current treasurer of the Los Angeles Bankruptcy Forum, a professional organization consisting of insolvency professionals and bankruptcy judges. On a similar basis, CMA administers the Bay Area Bankruptcy Forum. Mr. Kaufman is an honors graduate of Brown University and studied law at Southwestern College of Law. He has earned the prestigious Certified Association Executive (CAE) award ("Life" status) from the American Society of Association Executives and is a past president and director of the Southern California Society of Association Executives. Mr. Kaufman often speaks to credit groups and at credit education forums on such topics as "antitrust compliance for credit managers," "alternatives to bankruptcy," and "the future of credit management" as part of a company's strategic environment. He is co-author of the current version of "Voice of the Gavel," an entertaining and educational play about bankruptcy reorganization. |
